Damask Backgrounder

I had a lot of fun creating with the Damask Backgrounder stamp set! On my first card, I layered ivory cardstock on top of kraft cardstock. I used Burnt Umber Palette Ink to stamp all images.

I stamped my Script Background image on scratch paper so that the image on my card would be lighter. I stamped my card using the second generation of ink. The saying is from Vintage Greetings.

My card looked "too simple", but then I added ribbon, tan scrapper's floss, and a button...and I was happy!

I used Brilliance Moonlight White ink to stamp my Damask Backgrounder images on this card.

The saying is from Love You. I used a corner rounder punch on two sides of the saying and some bling for dotting the "i".

I did some masking on this card. I used a post-it-note to "cut off" the bottom half of my Damask Backgrounder image. I then rotated my paper and did the same thing.

Flowers and a button were added on top of the Damask Backgrounder image. The saying is from Inspirational Sayings.

I love altering items! I found this cute little thing at Hobby Lobby for $1.50. I thought it was kinda cute, but I thought I could create something "more" with it.  I love picking up little things like this on sale and creating something "new" out of it! I took the wire off of the wood.  Don't worry!  I will put it back on later! ;)

The first thing I did was cover the wood using a scrap that I had from Rockin' Roxie Matchbook Kit. I attached the paper and used a sanding block on the sides. Next, I used a stamp from Vintage Backgrounds. It is hard to see in the picture, but what I did was stamp off several times so that the Vintage Background image would be light. I then added my Damask Backgrounder image with noir black ink.
Here is the finished product! I punched an oval out of black cardstock and ran it through my crimper corrugator. The "love" is from Vintage Greetings.

The small flower is from Neutral Mini Blossoms~ so cute!
Here is a close up from the side. I put the black oval and "love" on pop dots. I think the dimension is nice~ much better than the flat piece that I started with. The sides were already black so I didn't do anything to the sides. ;)

I hope you are inspired to stamp and create!
